Kodi Gaha Yata is a teledrama that depicts the multiplicities of human relationships in Sri Lanka, together with societal issues. The plot of the show centers around Mahesh, who gets involved in a murder contract that sets off a chain of events affecting multiple characters.

It will be unique for many years to come, for the way it portrayed the lives of people living in a slum in Colombo, preserving the struggles and dreams of people slumming. Nilanthi and Jeevani have grown with the story, showing the different aspects of society. If the show managed to portray grave themes without losing viewers' interest, that's something on which this should be credited: strong writing and acting.
